Southfield, MI, February 10, 1992 - Organizations will eliminate hours of
the aggravation, frustration and telephone tag of group scheduling with
the new LAN version of Campbell Services' time management program, OnTime
for Windows Network.
Individuals in workgroups, departments, and entire organizations easily
schedule group meetings and notify attendees, as well as update users'
personal to-do lists using OnTime's time planning features. Many early
OnTime customers, including first time PC users, were scheduling meetings
after just a few minutes of instruction.
DOS users sharing LANs with Windows users will also benefit. OnTime for
Windows Network ties seamlessly with its DOS counterpart, which is
included for no extra charge with the Windows version.
OnTime for Windows Network makes technical support a virtual non-issue.
Special utilities automatically walk LAN managers through the installation
and the setup of user lists, defaults, system security and other software
features.
A sizable backlog of OnTime for Windows Network orders already exists from
current users of the DOS network other versions of OnTime. Early Fortune
1000 customers include Pacific Gas & Electric in California, Westinghouse,
Price Waterhouse and Dean Witter, and several large government agencies
have also joined the rush.
"Organizations spend tremendous amounts of time getting people together for
meetings, so group scheduling software is in great demand," states company
president Don Campbell. "OnTime is particularly appealing because it
forgoes complex 'bells and whistles' and just whistles' and just delivers
potent, easy-to-use group scheduling and time management capabilities. "
Some of the leading network manufacturers have taken a strong interest in
OnTime as well.
"By taking advantage of NetWare's Btrieve's record management capabilities,
OnTime offers network computing users a great tool for enhancing their
productivity," said Steve Hochschild, Director of Developer Relations at
Novell. "We are pleased that Campbell Services is working with us through
our Professional Developers' Program to provide solutions to NetWare
customers."
Banyan Systems is working to support Campbell Services' R & D effort to
produce a VINES-integrated version of OnTime which fully exploits Banyan
Vines' features.
"Campbell Services has done an excellent job of building time management
products to serve a wide variety of corporate users," says Steven Sohn,
Manager, Marketing Partners at Banyan Systems. "Their enterprise-wide
VINES development project should provide Banyan users with a true
distributed application for corporate-wide scheduling."
Besides group scheduling features, OnTime for Windows Network also offers
individual users features to help them better manage time, save time and
be on time.
OnTime enables users to quickly coordinate personal appointments and
meetings, organize and prioritize daily tasks and monitor future
commitments. Another key time management feature is OnTime's unique
calendar printout. A to-do list, an appointments schedule, a detailed
calendar of activities and other information prints on a convenient 8.5" x
11" tri-fold sheet of paper.
OnTime for Windows Network requires Windows running in standard or enhanced
mode from the file server and the IBM PC and 100% compatible workstation
connected to the LAN Pricing starts at $356.00 for three users.
